Who is he?
Mat is reliable and trustworthy individual with over 20 years worth of experience in the Financial Markets. After leaving college, Mat spent 5 years in the late 1980’s with Norwich Union and worked his way up to the head of Mortgages at their Brighton Office, later he moved to Royal & Sun Alliance as an Underwriter. During this period he privately studied and passed his Financial Planning exams before joining one of Brighton’s oldest and most respected Independent Financial Advisers Bateson & Payne in 1996.
Later Mat moved to one of the largest Independent Financial Advisers The Cavanagh Group, who are based in Cuckfield, West Sussex. In 2005, Mat joined Harvey Curtis Associates in Burgess Hill, bringing with him over 350 private clients together with a group of corporate businesses where he runs their in house Group Pension Arrangements.
Mat is 38 years old and married to Lisa. They have two children, Kristian age 7 and Carys age 4.
Mat’s wife Lisa spent over 9 years owning and running two large hair salons in the Brighton area and this certainly gave Mat an insight to the pleasures and pains of employing a large number of staff and dealing with tax, VAT and payroll etc.
Mat’s hobbies include surfing and track days with his road car together helping his children develop at football, swimming and dancing etc.
